Again, I fail at keeping this up to date. I have been crazy busy lately and will try to catch you up now as to why I have been slacking on my updates.
After 3 months of fighting and scratching, my boyfriend and I closed on our house on December 31st of 2008. It was a foreclosure property so we got it for about half of what it is valued at, which was quite awesome. Since buying it, we have installed all new heaters, to replace the boiler system which no longer worked... replaced all of the water lines including the line underground from the house to the meter... updated the electric from the ancient 2 prong to new 3 prong... and will hopefully have our carpet in later this week. Appliances should also hopefully arrive later this week, all stainless steel of course.
I am still together with my best friend who I mentioned in my previous entry, and is also the guy I bought the house with. It's a 2 story house with a 2 car detached garage. 1900 square feet, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, gas fireplace, front and back porch with a jacuzzi built into the back deck, although I haven't had the time to check to see if it even works. The water has been the biggest obstacle at this point because of the underground line to the meter. The yard is too small in the front to use heavy machinery so the entire thing had to be trenched by hand, in ohio, in the dead of winter *groan*
Work is still there... my boss is as annoying as ever, although I've been picking up more and more side jobs, which have definitely been helping me financially. The house is quite effectively wiping those finances out, but it's still nice to be making the extra money.
Wow, I can't believe how long it has been since I updated anything on my site. I don't even know if you guys still check this site or not, but if you do, thank you very much. I'm going to be adding some new sets to the site soon. Not of me, but some stuff that I have had laying around for awhile.
2 years have passed since my last diary entry, that's crazy. Well let me try my best to catch you all up to date. I was dating a guy for almost 2 years, things were going really well, but I guess he got tired of me. He ended up cheating on me in my own bed while i was asleep in it. So that was terrible. I never blew up or anything, just moved on with my life and let it go. However, it took forever to get over it.
However, some great news, as of today, my best friend asked me to officially date him and I said yes. So as of today I am in a new and blossoming relationship with my best friend :)
I still work for the same company that I did before. I've been there for 4 years now, still designing websites and heading up their web development department. I am looking for other jobs though. My boss is a bipolar prick and he doesn't pay me enough to deal with his attitude on a daily basis. I've been trying to do some freelance stuff on the site to help.
I'm living back at my parents now. I had all my money invested in remodeling my ex's house that when we split I didn't have anything to support myself, so I just moved back home.
I still run my review site as well, which is going well. It's at www.ethansreview.com. Hopefully I can get some new companies to hop on board so I can add some new stuff in the near future. I also am considering remodeling this site since it's been awhile. Again, I'm not sure if anyone still comes to this site since I had to change names and went so long without updating, but hopefully I can get some people interested in it again. I'll get some new pics up soon as well so you guys can see how i've aged over the years.
For all of my gamer friends out there, I do still play World of Warcraft and Nintendo Wii. Well, that should catch most of you up to date, hope to talk to you guys again soon, sorry again for the long long delay with this.
